Last night the UMF held it's first annual charity casino night here in jolly old Evanston, and it was a success! We've become familiar enough in the community that soliciting donations and supporters is no longer like pulling teeth without any pain meds, and our sponsors donated enough to completely pay for the event! We also had several hundred dollars worth of door prizes that were raffled off, and our 4 top table winners walked away with some pretty amazing prizes (one was a night in a jacuzzi suite plus a dinner for two, another was a $400.00 package of fireworks). We will also be able to donate somewhere close to $2000.00 to Angels Among Us for this christmas season.

Having been the recipient for several years of organizations like Angels Among Us and the Angel Tree, it's been a pretty amazing and humbling experience to be a part of these events. I understand how desperate some of these families are, how the donations made at these events are the only gifts their children recieve during the holiday season, for some of the kids the clothes they get are the only new clothes they get the entire year, and the toys are the only new toys they get. As a parent, I know how devastating it can be to have your child asked what they put on their list to santa, and know that not one single request can be filled from your own pocket. I know what it is to dread christmas morning, because there won't be anything under the tree, and I know what it is to not even be able to get a tree. I still don't have much in the way of tangible items or money to donate, but I do have my time and my skills, and those things are just as important. This holiday season I urge all of you to remember what it's all really about. Donate an hour of your time somewhere, save your coffee money and buy stocking stuffers, do something in your community to honor the spirit of love and hope that the holidays are really about.

Dear Oklahoma State Senator Sally Kern,

After careful consideration, listening to this audio clip and actually transcribing it into words, I've come to several conclusions.

1) You were born in the wrong era. If you remove every instance of 'homosexual' in your speech and replace it with 'black' or even 'African-American' you could have been giving a speech straight from the 1960's. Go back a bit earlier, insert 'Jew' or 'Gypsy' and you could have written a prize-winning speech for Hitler and his little band of troublemakers.

2) If this is the kind of knowledge you taught in your 20+ teaching career, it's a wonder any of your students graduated high school, much less went on to lead active, productive lives. You couldn't possibly have taught facts when you are so filled with blind, bigoted hate.

3) The biggest threat to this nation is people like you, especially people like you. It's bad enough when an 'average' citizen is so filled with hate, but when you are a public figure, a person who was actually given the authority to make public policy, to write and pass legislation that impacts people's lives, when somebody like you spreads this kind of hate? It's people like you who are the 'death knell' of this nation.

In short, lady, you are made of fail.

The homosexual agenda is destroying this nation, k, it's just a fact. Not everybody's lifestyles are equal, just like not all religions are equal. The very fact that I’m talking to you like this, here today, puts me in jeopardy. Ok, uh, and I’m not anti, I’m not gay-bashing, but according to gods word that is not the right kind of lifestyle. It has deadly consequences for those people involved in it. They have more suicides, they’re more discouraged, there's more illness, they're life spans are shorter. You know, uh, it's not a lifestyle that’s good for this nation. Matter of fact, studies show that no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted more than, you know, a few decades. So it's the death kneel for this country. I honestly think that it's the biggest threat even that our nation has, even more so than terrorism and Islam, which I think, is a big threat. Ok, cause what’s happening now they're going after in schools, two year olds. You know why they're trying to get early childhood education? They want to get our young children into the government schools so that they can indoctrinate them. I taught school for close to twenty years and we're not teaching fact and knowledge anymore folks, we're teaching indoctrination. Ok and they're going after our young children, as young as two years of age, to try to teach them that homosexual lifestyle is an acceptable lifestyle.

You know gay are infiltrating city councils. Did you know eureka springs, any body been there for the passion play? K, have you heard that the city council of eureka springs is now controlled by gays. K, there are some others, Pittsburgh, Pensilvanya. Maryland, Kensington Maryland, in Vermont, Oregon, West Palm Beach Florida and lots of other places in Florida, what’s happening? And they are winning elections.

One of the things that I deal with in our legislature, I tried to introduce a bill last year that would notify parents, that schools had to let parents know what clubs their students were involved in. and the reason I did that bill primarily was this, we have the gay-straight alliance coming into our school, kids are getting involved in these groups their lives are being ruined and parents don't know about it. So I introduce the bill that says you have to notify of all clubs and things. And one of my colleges said, you know, we don't have a gay problem in my community, that’s why I voted against that bill. Well you know what, that is so dumb. If you've got cancer or something in your little toe you say well you know, I’m going to forget about it because the rest of you's fine, it spreads ok? And this stuff is deadly and it's spreading and it will destroy our young people and it's going to destroy our nation.
